Japanese smilies ッ
March 6th, 2010I’ve bumped into this a few times recently so I got interested.
They are actually Japanese letters.
ッ
It’s a katakana syllabogram, pronounced “tsu”
There’s also this:
シ
This one’s called “she”
Besides their obvious contribution to the Japanese language, they are pretty awesome alternative smilies.
